FAQs

Why does my wrap smell when I take it out of the packaging?
This is due to the natural smell of the beeswax but will quickly fade and will not affect your food.

How do I use my wrap?

Use the warmth of your hands to seal the wrap around whatever you wish to cover, either by moulding it around a dish or to seal the ends of your wax parcel or pouch.

What can I use my wrap for?
The possibilities are (almost!) endless. Possible uses include: wrapping sandwiches, cake, cheese, half cut fruit and vegetables, making pouches for little treats, and covering bowls.

Can I use my wrap to wrap up meat and fish?
It is not advised to put raw meat and fish directly on your wrap as they cannot be washed with hot water. However, you can still use your wrap to wrap up sandwiches containing meat, for example, or to cover a bowl which contains meat or fish.

Can I use my wrap to cover warm food?
No - wait until food is cold before wrapping up.

Can I use my wrap to cover food in the microwave?

No - the wax will melt!

How do I clean my wrap?
Wash with mild soap in cold water. Watch our tutorial if you still aren't sure.

Can I wash my wrap in the dishwasher?

No - the wax will melt! Wash your wrap with mild soap in cold water.

How should I store my wrap?
Once clean and dry, store flat or folded in half or quarters. Whether you only have the one or many, your wraps can then be stored in a drawer, in a box, or on a shelf, as long as they are at room temperature. It does not matter if you store multiple wraps in a pile as they will come apart easily when they need to be used.

I have used my wrap once and washed it, it now doesn't feel sticky. Will it still work?
Yes - just because the wrap doesn't necessarily feel sticky, it doesn't mean it won't stick! Wrap or cover whatever you need to and seal with the warmth of your hands and the wrap will stick just as it did the first time.

I have been using my wrap for a few months now and it is very creased, does this mean I need to throw it away?
No - all of our wraps can be quickly made to look like new again by popping them in the oven for a few seconds. Watch our tutorial to see how it's done.

How long will my wrap last for?
With regular use, we recommend using your wrap for about a year before replacing it.
